This school in Spruce Grove underwent a striking upgrade with VIPEQ’s Thermal CorkShield F08, transforming a faded, weather-worn cinder block exterior into a clean, durable, modern façade.

Previously marked by patchy paint and exposure damage, the surface was fully revitalized with our Charcoal Grey cork coating.

F08 was chosen for its superior insulation properties, crack-bridging flexibility, and breathable, water-repellent finish — perfect for enhancing both utility performance and visual appeal in Alberta’s climate. High on the feature list was ultimate durability, deflecting impact from sports equipment and offering another level of safety to an otherwise abrasive surface. Reduced maintenance needs means the school can focus on education and fun, instead of scheduling trades around classes. The result is a refreshed, energy-efficient school exterior that supports a healthier environment for students and staff.

This project demonstrates how VIPEQ solutions are ideal for institutional buildings, combining long-lasting durability with contemporary design.
